Smile Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of children in South Africa through life-changing reconstructive surgery and holistic medical support. We believe that meaningful change happens when the right people come together at the right time.
We facilitate expert surgical interventions, as well as pre- and post-operative care, for children affected by facial paralysis, cleft lip and cleft palate, craniofacial abnormalities, ear, nose and hand conditions, and burn wounds.
Beyond surgeries, we are committed to strengthening South Africa’s public healthcare system. Our support includes funding essential medical equipment, upgrading facilities within Departments of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and sponsoring academic and skills-training programmes for medical professionals.
We also provide holistic support to children and their families throughout their medical journey. From psychological counselling to transportation and accommodation assistance, we create a network of care that nurtures emotional well-being and improves recovery outcomes.
Our Vision To help children overcome their challenges and embrace a life filled with confidence and possibility.
Our Mission To transform the lives of children affected by facial abnormalities and severe burns through world-class surgical and psychological care.
