1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to The Helpers!Our mission: connect people who need help with organisations that can provide it.
By using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you don’t agree, please do not use the site.
2. WHO WE ARE
The Helpers (“we”, “us”, “our”) is powered by Good Things Guy and Druff.
The Helpers is a South African-based platform designed to connect individuals and organisations who need help with those who can offer it.
We do not handle money or act as a fundraising intermediary. We are a directory and connection platform linking users to registered non-profit organisations (NPOs) and verified helpers in South Africa.
3. USING THE PLATFORM
You may use the Platform to:
- Search for and contact listed organisations;
- Register your organisation as a verified helper;
- Submit your details to be listed for public access.
- Offer help or support through volunteering, donations, or sharing.
Please use this Platform lawfully, ethically, and respectfully, in line with our Community Guidelines.
5. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
If you register an account (as an individual or organisation):
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
- You may delete your account at any time by contacting admin@thehelpers.co.za.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
6. LISTING AND VERIFICATION OF ORGANISATIONS
To maintain trust and integrity, all organisations must:
- Provide valid NPO/NGO/PBO registration numbers where applicable;
- Submit accurate information about their purpose and activities;
- Consent to verification of their details and documentation;
- Update their listing every twelve (12) months to remain active.
By registering, you grant The Helpers permission to publish your organisation’s details, logos, descriptions, and media provided, for the purpose of visibility and public access.
We reserve the right to decline, suspend, or remove any listing that:
- Fails verification;
- Contains misleading or harmful content;
- Violates South African law or our community standards.
By registering, you allow us to display your content for public access.
Your Rights Under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion or destruction of personal information
- Object to the processing of your personal information
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Officer or the Information Regulator

Consent
By using our platform or submitting your details, you consent to the collection and processing of your
information as outlined in this Privacy Policy.
You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting our Information Officer. Withdrawal of consent may
