We care for 228 children placed in our care with an order by the Children's Court of South Africa or the Department of Social Development. Our vision is empowered enablers and not only should our children be empowered when they grow up, but also be forces in their respective communities. We also have two form 36 houses, which means that children that are removed immediately, example from school, are brought into our care with only the clothes on their backs. They are placed temporarily in our care for up to three months, pending the court case and only then permanently with an order. We receive a subsidy from the Department of Social Development which only covers 25% of total expenses, thus leading us to turn to the community for the remaining 75% of the expenses, which is upwards of  R20m.
