Preemie Connect

A Support Group

Category

Birth & Early Life Support
As a parent who had a premature baby, I was thrust into a world I knew very little about. I went in search of an online support group, specifically South African-based, and at that time I could not find any. That is how Preemie Connect was formed. Preemie Connect is a Parent-Led Organisation that provides emotional support, evidence-based knowledge and raises awareness for families affected by prematurity. Our mission is to ensure that preemie babies not only survive but thrive, through the NICU and beyond. When a baby is born prematurely, a family is unprepared because it is unexpected. We provide care packages while parents are in the facility to ensure they have something for themselves and for when the baby is discharged.

We offer 5 online support groups:

  1. Preemie Parents Support Group
  2. Special Needs Support Group
  3. Angel Babies Support Group
  4. Preemie Dad Support Group
  5. Standard Mom Support Group
Your support will ensure that we not only are able to provide these care packages, but that we can continue to provide evidence-based knowledge and support to the smallest and most vulnerable population, premature babies.
