Isiaiah 54 Children’s Sanctuary

At Isiaiah 54 Children’s Sanctuary, we care for between 12 and 16 babies and children at any given time. We are a place of safety for little ones who have been abandoned, found, or require urgent removal due to abuse or neglect. When a baby or child needs help, we open our doors and our hearts, no matter the time of day or night. Children are brought to us by SAPS, Metro Police, and Child Protection Organisations, and we provide immediate care, love, stability and protection while longer-term solutions are explored. In addition to caring for children, we also support pregnant girls and birth mothers in crisis, those who feel alone, afraid and without options. We offer emotional support, counselling, guidance and referrals and where possible, limited practical assistance, helping mothers make informed and safe decisions for themselves and their babies. As a last-resort option, our baby saver is available to mothers who feel they have no other safe choice. This allows a mother to safely relinquish her baby in a protected, anonymous way, preventing unsafe abandonment and giving the child an immediate chance at life, care and protection. At Isiaiah 54 Children’s Sanctuary, every life matters. We respond with compassion, dignity and urgency, because no baby or mother should ever feel unseen or without hope.
