At the heart of the Ingelosi Foundation lies a bold mission: to uplift youth and ignite the next generation of entrepreneurs in Johannesburg's vibrant Inner City. This diverse community, brimming with untapped potential, faces unique challenges, but we're committed to forging new pathways to opportunity for the young people who call it home.
Our work revolves around the Entrepreneurial Nurturing Cycle, built on three interconnected pillars: Youth Development, Entrepreneurial Development, and Entrepreneurial Support. These pillars create lasting change, equipping disadvantaged youth with the skills, confidence, and resources to thrive in South Africa's dynamic economy.
Youth Programme: Building Foundations for Tomorrow's Leaders
Targeted at high school learners aged 15-18 from previously disadvantaged backgrounds, our Youth Programme delivers proven tools for academic excellence and social empowerment. Drawing on methodologies endorsed by the Project Management Institute, we instill hope, boost confidence, and foster economic readiness. In partnership with the National Youth Development Initiative (NYDI), who lead the facilitation, we've seen participants transform into resilient, purpose-driven individuals ready to contribute meaningfully to society.
Entrepreneurial Development: Sparking Innovation and Business Success
Our second pillar, provides cutting-edge training and materials to nurture young innovators in Johannesburg's Inner City. This programme shifts mindsets, offering clear guidance for aspiring entrepreneurs; whether they're ideating startups, launching businesses, or scaling early ventures. By addressing the entrepreneurship gap head-on, we're creating job creators, not just job seekers, and driving sustainable community growth.
