SpringBots South Africa NPC is a youth-focused STEM organisation dedicated to empowering young people through robotics, coding, engineering, innovation, and leadership development. Founded and operated by the Reddy family, the organisation was established on the belief that while talent is equally distributed, opportunities are not.
Through hands-on STEM education, mentorship, robotics competitions, and community outreach programmes, SpringBots provides young people—particularly those from underserved communities—with access to skills and experiences that prepare them for the future world of work. The organisation develops not only technical abilities in robotics and engineering but also critical life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, communication, project management, and leadership.
SpringBots South Africa is internationally recognised for representing South Africa at the prestigious FIRST Global Challenge, often referred to as the "Olympics of Robotics," where its teams have earned global recognition and awards. Beyond international competition, the organisation actively works to expand STEM access across South Africa through school partnerships, educator training, robotics clubs, and youth development initiatives.
Driven by the spirit of Ubuntu, SpringBots is committed to creating opportunities, inspiring innovation, and building the next generation of South African engineers, technologists, innovators, and leaders who will contribute to a brighter future for the country.
Mission: To provide accessible STEM education and robotics opportunities that inspire, equip, and empower South African youth.
Vision: A South Africa where every young person has the opportunity to develop the skills, confidence, and innovation mindset needed to thrive in a technology-driven world.
