Gift A Child Children’s Home is a registered NPO (294-653), NPC (2020/501501/08), and PBO (930084483) based in Johannesburg, South Africa. We are dedicated to providing a safe, loving, and structured environment for abandoned, abused, neglected, and vulnerable children—from babies through to young adults.

Our home currently cares for 14 children full-time, while many more—over 35 in total—have passed through our doors and been supported, restored, and given a second chance at life. Each child who comes into our care carries a unique story, often marked by hardship, trauma, or loss. Our mission is to rewrite those stories with hope, stability, and opportunity.

We provide more than just shelter. Our holistic care model focuses on emotional healing, educational support, life skills development, and spiritual guidance. We work closely with schools, social workers, and community partners to ensure that every child receives the support they need to grow into confident, capable, and responsible individuals.

Our vision is to create a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, protected, and empowered to reach their full potential. We strive to break cycles of poverty, abuse, and neglect by equipping children with the tools, education, and support systems necessary for a brighter future.

Despite our impact, we operate with limited resources and rely heavily on the generosity of donors, sponsors, and the community. Our current needs include infrastructure expansion, educational resources, food, clothing, and essential daily supplies to meet the growing demand for our services.
