Recognised as The People’s Shelter,  Woodrock Animal Rescue is a place of hope, compassion, and second chances for animals who have nowhere else to go.
Established in 1992, Woodrock has dedicated the past 37 years to protecting and uplifting the most vulnerable: animals who are homeless, abused, neglected, injured, abandoned, elderly, or ill.
At the heart of everything we do is a firm belief: every life matters. Woodrock stands as a symbol of pro-life animal rescue, working tirelessly to ensure that no animal is forgotten or left to suffer unnecessarily. We don’t just rescue: we restore, rehabilitate, and rehome, giving each animal the opportunity to heal and find the love and security they deserve.
Our mission is driven by action, guided by compassion, and fuelled by the community that supports us. Every animal that comes through our gates is treated with dignity and care, as we work toward our vision of a future where animals live free from cruelty, neglect, and needless suffering.
Our Objectives & Pillars
Woodrock’s work is grounded in six powerful pillars that represent the foundations of real, lasting animal welfare:
- Sterilisation
- Adoption
- Community Outreach
- Medical and Food Support
- Education
- Legal Advocacy
These pillars shape the way we serve animals and the communities around us — not only saving lives today, but also creating meaningful change for tomorrow.
