About
Small Paws on the Coast is a registered Public Benefit Organisation committed to protecting and improving the lives of vulnerable cats along the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal.
Born from a passion to reduce suffering and create long-term change, our work focuses on the humane management of feral cat populations and supporting pets in low-income communities.
Every day, we respond to the growing need for accessible sterilisation services. Unsterilised feral colonies grow quickly, resulting in hardship, hunger and neglect. By trapping, sterilising and returning these cats, we help control overpopulation in an ethical, sustainable way—preventing thousands of unwanted litters and giving colony cats a safer future.
Alongside this, we assist welfare cats belonging to families who love their pets but do not have the financial means to access veterinary care. From sterilisation to food support when possible, we help keep animals healthy, prevent abandonment, and strengthen responsible pet ownership within the community.
Small Paws on the Coast relies entirely on donations, sponsorships and compassionate individuals who believe that every animal deserves a chance at a healthy, safe life.
With each cat sterilised and every family supported, we take one step closer to healthier communities, protected wildlife, and fewer animals suffering unseen.
