Disability Support
Based in Pretoria, Kungwini Welfare Organisation (KWO) is a dedicated non-profit providing lifelong care and empowerment for individuals living with intellectual and physical disabilities. For over 40 years, we have fostered a "home-away-from-home" environment centred on dignity and specialised support. Our Vision: To be a leading provider of holistic care, ensuring that every person with a disability is embraced by a society that respects their rights and values. Our Mission: To provide high-quality residential care, vocational training, and community-based services that empower our residents and the surrounding community to reach their full potential through sustainable development and compassionate intervention. Our Impact
  • Paul Jungnickel Home: 24/7 residential care for adults with disabilities.
    • At the heart of our organisation is the Paul Jungnickel Home, a specialised facility providing 24/7 medical and residential care for approximately 135 adults living with severe to profound disabilities. In 2019, we expanded our reach by opening the Paul Jungnickel Home Senior, a dedicated unit for residents aged 60 and above. Our team of professional nurses, social workers, and caregivers ensures a holistic "home-away-from-home" environment.
  • Protective and Vocational Workshop: Vocational skills training to foster independence.
    • We believe in "ability over disability." The Protective Workshop serves as a hub where residents engage in skills development and therapeutic activities. By participating in craft-making and light assembly, our residents gain a sense of accomplishment and contribute to the community, proving that they are active, valuable members of society.  Our Vocational Workshop offers participation in entry-level crafts.
    • These facilities are open to Day-Visitors
  • Community Outreach: Support via our Early Learning Centre for able-bodied pre-school children.
    • KWO recognises that long-term community upliftment begins with the youth. Our ECD Centre provides quality preschool education and nutrition to children from the surrounding disadvantaged areas. By focusing on school readiness and early intervention, we help break the cycle of poverty for the next generation.
Why Partner With Kungwini? As a Section 18A PBO, all donations to KWO are tax-deductible. We offer a transparent, professionally governed platform for corporate social investment (CSI) and B-BBEE partnerships. When you support Kungwini, you are not just funding a facility; you are investing in a community where everyone matters.
