Karoo Donkey Sanctuary

With the global genocide of donkeys due to the demand for their skins from China, our crusade in the trenches is to rescue and rehabilitate formerly abused donkeys in need. The vast majority of our rescues remain in permanent sanctuary at our facility. We are a registered NPO, a Public Benefit Organisation, and the only Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS) Verified  Equine Sanctuary on the African continent. We currently have 120 rescued donkeys in our care, 38 rescued horses, 25 rescued cows and many other farmyard species that we have rescued from either slaughter or abuse.
