Help a Paw was founded in 2018 initially to assist Geraldine Adams, a pensioner who walks the streets feeding and caring for animals in her neighborhood. From there we have grown to supply free sterilizations, kennels, food and health care to over three thousand animals in the vicinity. We have a vaccination clinic that is sponsored by Humane World for free vacs and deworming. We sterilizer on average 100 animals a month and are list is forever long. We have an educational programme running with the children re basic pet care and we do numerous unchainings and rehomings of unwanted dos, puppies, cats and kittens. Our feeding scheme feeds over a hundred dogs at any given time and we assist elderly people with food for their pets as long as the pets are sterilised.

Current Needs / Wish List
We always need donations of food, cat and dog food. We get kennels for R 250 which make a huge difference to the dogs chained out in the rain and heat, We hold vac and steri days that we need volunteers for. Fosters for puppies and kittens are always needed as are blankets and tick and flea treatments. Collars for the dogs to get the thick chains off their necks. Feeding bowls are always welcome.
