Cradock Animal Shelter is in a constant struggle to obtain funding to continue our operations.
We provide a safe place for animals in need. Some animals are strays, injured, or neglected that need a home, and others are being surrendered because their families can no longer care for them. Among these animals, a portion of them come with medical or behavioural issues that the shelter must take into account when finding suitable homes.
We do get donations from the public, but we often run short. Funding an organisation like this in a small town is always a challenge. We currently have 75 dogs & 30 Cats in our kennels.
We have two full-time employees at the kennels on a daily basis. Personnel are dedicated to the following goals.
- The rescue of lost and abandoned animals in our community.
- Promoting anti-violence and cruelty in communities.
- Providing food, shelter and vet care to animals in need.
- Promoting spaying and neutering to end the suffering as a result of overpopulation and unwanted animals.
- Adoption of healthy animals back into loving and caring homes.
- Public awareness regarding pet overpopulation.
We therefor asking if you can help contribute on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis to our animals.
Should you require further details on what is done at the Animal shelter, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you.
