LifeLine Western Cape

LifeLine Western Cape provides confidential, non-judgemental, non-directive counselling to people who are experiencing emotional distress, conflict, loneliness, trauma, or crisis. We create a safe space where every person is treated with dignity and respect, and where you can speak openly, without fear of being judged. Our counsellors are carefully selected, highly trained, and bound by a strict pledge of confidentiality. Our approach is grounded in empathy and in the belief that people carry inner strengths and resources that can be rediscovered, strengthened, and applied to find constructive ways forward. We support self-awareness and personal growth, recognising that the quality of our relationships, with ourselves and with others, shapes how we cope and how we heal.

How we help

• Telephone counselling: Confidential and anonymous support via landline and WhatsApp call. Lines are open daily from 10:00 to 22:00, 365 days a year (you only pay the cost of your call).

• Face-to-face counselling: Appointment-based support with LifeLine-trained counsellors (up to four one-hour sessions). Bookings via 021 461 1113.

Training and community impact

As part of our commitment to service, we also train members of the public in core interpersonal and counselling skills through our Personal Growth and Counselling Skills courses, strengthening supportive capacity across families, workplaces, and communities.
