Help Bring Comfort and Dignity to Our Patients Our 24-bed Hospice and Palliative Care Unit provides compassionate care to patients living with serious illness who need comfort, dignity, and support during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. Many of the patients who come to us arrive with very little, which is why community support is so vital. We are currently seeking financial donations to help us care for our patients and keep our unit running with warmth and dignity. Funds will help us provide essential items such as toiletries, pyjamas, socks for patients, and non-perishable food items for our unit pantry so that no one in our care goes without basic comforts. We also welcome volunteers who would like to support our work by helping at iThemba’s Closet, our thrift store that raises funds for our programmes, or by assisting at events that promote and support HACT. Your support helps us provide more than care. It helps us offer comfort, dignity, and compassion when it is needed most.
