Siyabonga is an NPO started in 2005 after founder Chrisna du Plessis (medical nurse) received a calling to care for the sick and vulnerable people in the community.

Our focus is to manage 4 projects with their programs which includes:Â
Health program:
- Intermediate Care (step-down facility for the sick, end of life care)
- Huis Isabella Licensed home for adults with Severe Profound Intellectual Disabilities
Disability programs:
- Huis Cornelius Residential care facility for adults with disabilities
- Huis Natachia Group Home for persons with disabilities
- Sisonke Protective workshop for youth with disabilities
- 2Care Day Care for persons with disabilities
- Special kids Centre for children with disabilities
- Represent on the West Coast Disability Forum
Family Preservation Program:
- Huis Hadassa – Child and Youth care centre for children in safety
- x2 Shelters for abuse gender based violence women and children
Education:
- Pikanini Early Childhood Development Centre
- Pikanini Gr R for vulnerable children
Siyabonga employs 130 permanent staff, which includes Medical staff, social workers, child workers and ECD Practitioners. We provide 1000 meals per day to our 330 permanent residents and clients. None of our programs is duplicated in the area. We partner with Department of Health, Department social Development, Department of Education, hospitals, clinics, SAPS, other NGO's and community members
Siyabonga also assist surrounded NGO's with governance guidance and service delivery according to norms and standards.
