About Us

Wild Heart Wildlife Foundation (WHWF) runs an approved Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in Limpopo Province, near Naboomspruit (Mookgopong). Fully permitted through the Limpopo Department of Nature Conservation (LEDET) and accredited by the NSPCA, WHWF is a registered NPO (147‑339) and Section 18A(1)(a) Public Benefit Organisation.

Our Mission

We rescue injured, orphaned, and displaced indigenous wildlife, giving each animal the chance to heal and return to the wild. Every intake is carefully managed to minimize stress and maximize survival. Our mission is simple yet profound: to restore dignity, protect life, and inspire compassion for South Africa’s wild creatures.

Our Story

Born from a deep love for Africa’s wildlife, WHWF was created to bridge the gap between emergency rescue and long‑term conservation. We believe every animal deserves a future in freedom. Our team works tirelessly to provide safe, quiet spaces for recovery, while sharing stories and updates so supporters can walk this journey with us.

Community & Support

Although our facilities are not open to the public, our work depends on community involvement. We welcome donations, sponsorships, and online volunteers to help fundraise, source products, and coordinate logistics such as patient pick‑ups. Occasionally, trusted volunteers assist hands‑on at the Centre. We also need compassionate animal lovers to join our network of transporters, ensuring patients reach us safely. By following our social media channels, you can witness the impact of your support and stand with us in protecting South Africa’s indigenous wildlife.

Release Sites

We are always seeking safe farms and reserves to partner with as vetted release sites. Offering your land means giving vulnerable animals a second chance at freedom, while directly contributing to conservation. Because each release requires careful preparation, monitoring, and secure facilities, we ask that partners provide financial and logistical input to ensure success. By opening your land to wildlife, you become part of a living legacy of compassion and protection that extends far beyond your boundaries.
