People of South Africa Foundation NPC

The People of South Africa Foundation NPC is the dedicated humanitarian arm of the We Are South Africans movement, (www.facebook.com/southafricans). Established to unite South Africans across all walks of life, the foundation has spent nearly two decades delivering practical, community-driven relief to those in need, without competition among NGOs, instead fostering partnerships with major organisations nationwide.

Our Story

Born from a deep commitment to South African unity and resilience, the foundation emerged as a response to widespread hardship, including poverty, vulnerability among children, the elderly, widows, farmers, and families facing crises like drought, disasters and economic downturns. Over 18 years, it has fed over 100 million people, clothed hundreds of thousands, distributed essential aid (such as school shoes to thousands of children), provided drought relief (including fodder like lucerne for farmers in drought hit areas across South Africa), supported repatriation efforts (e.g., during global crises), and delivered winter warmth, dignity, and hope through collaborations with partners around the country, and others. Every project prioritises completion, community success, and real impact, always putting people first and remaining long after others have left.

Mission

To coordinate and deliver humanitarian assistance, including emergency drought relief, food, clothing, school supplies, and farmer support, to vulnerable communities, farmers, families, children, and the elderly throughout South Africa. This is achieved through strategic partnerships, community-led initiatives, and collective action, ensuring no South African is left behind. The foundation believes in non-competitive collaboration, restoring dignity, and building hope by helping one another help millions in distress.

Transparency is core: Section 18A certificates for donations, audited bank statements, and direct impact reporting. Donations support meaningful, sustainable aid that does not simply put a plaster on a problem but physically remains to continue helping until people are independent again.
